I’m Tye.
A creative spirit, like you.

I’m a Chicago artist and educator whose love of making began early. My paintings bring together illustrative, abstract, and loosely figurative forms, with collage, texture, typography, and expressive lines. I’m drawn to the stories we carry, the ways we understand ourselves, and the possibility of connecting human hearts through art.

I studied studio art and graphic design at Michigan State University, then worked in graphic design and marketing for the educational media company United Learning. Education became another creative calling. I earned graduate degrees at DePaul University and Full Sail University, and my teaching experience includes Oak Park District 97 and the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools.

My journey also took me to Dubai, where I served as an Innovative Learning Coordinator at an international school. Along the way, I’ve exhibited in solo and group shows, curated exhibitions, mentored young people, and founded a nonprofit that created workspace for artists and youth.

Through More heART Foundation, creative experiences, and my own art, I continue exploring how expression can nurture personal growth and social change. I’m also a Sacred Woman Practitioner and intuitive healer. Alongside my background in health coaching and Reiki, this work reflects my commitment to care, connection, and helping people embrace who they were created to be.
